Hello all! In today’s tutorial, I show you how to cover webbing with fabric to make an adjustable strap. I’ve seen several handbags with webbing but sometimes I want my strap to match the fabric that I am using in the handbag. Also, webbing is very sturdy and makes carrying the handbag more secure. Cut your strap 3 3/4″ x 55″ and your webbing 55″. Here are the tools you will need for this tutorial:
- 1.5 yards of fabric
- 2 yards of 1″ webbing
- Scissors
- Pins or double-sided tape
- Ruler
- Marking pen or tailor’s chalk
- Iron and ironing board
- Coordinating thread
- Sewing machine
