Anything but Basic Tee

Hello all! I hope that you are having a fabulous week. Today I want to talk about another DIBY Club pattern. This is the Anything but Basic Tee, which is a free pattern on their website. I have reviewed the Stevie Jumpsuit and the Rosa Dress, both patterns are amazing! The instructions for the pattern read like an eBook and it is amazing, they are well written and easy to follow. At the beginning you have the table of contents, which is very helpful if you only need a certain section of the instructions. *Post contains affiliate links*

My suggestion is to read the entire instruction manual before you print, assemble, and sew your PDF pattern. There is information on how to join their Facebook group, sizing charts, video tutorials on how to assemble their PDF pattern, and how to sew a V neck. There are several tips and tricks, and also how to do a full bust adjustment and crotch adjustment. PDF patterns are not my favorite because of all of the cutting and taping but with DIBY patterns, you do not have to trim any paper before taping pieces together. I can’t tell you how much of a time saver this is. The patterns are lined up at the circle and taped together. This saves time and paper.

This T-shirt pattern is a very easy sew, I highly recommend it for beginners. If you haven’t realized it yet, I love an easy, straight forward pattern! I don’t like to spend a long time sewing on one project unless it is a jacket or a handbag. This pattern has 4 pieces, the front, back, sleeves, and neckband. This t-shirt also has different necklines, so you can choose which one you want to sew. I always choose the high neck version because that is my favorite. I’ve never been a fan of V necks or scoop necks, but they have those options if you are.

I made this t-shirt using a jersey knit fabric that I found in the remnant section at Fine Fabrics. This fabric is the perfect material for this shirt. I love that I can dress this shirt up or down. Here I chose to wear it with jeans, but I could wear it with some slacks and a blazer or jacket if I wanted to. I also grabbed my KaryAll Clutch made from denim fabric. I also made this KaryAll Clutch a waist bag or you can wear it as a crossbody. The KaryAll Clutch is a free pattern for the newsletter subscribers. There are detailed instructions with pictures and a step by step video tutorial on YouTube.
