Today I want to share my version of Simplicity 8605 view D. The paper bag waist trend is everywhere and I wanted to make a garment with this design element. My initial thought was to do the pants, but I didn’t have enough of this fabric for the pants, so I went for the skirt. I also did not complete the tie belt, because most of the time it gets thrown in the corner once I’m done taking pictures.
This is an easy to sew pattern in the Simplicity collection. I used a purple and black scuba knit from Fine Fabrics and I paired the skirt with a simple black t-shirt from Wal-Mart ($2.88!!). Check out the pattern review below:
