McCall’s 6963

Hello All! I know it’s been a while, but I have been very busy creating handbag patterns. I made a few plans for May to make a few pieces for my summer wardrobe. I started off with McCall’s 6963 view B, a very easy top to make with 4 pieces. I’ve made this top in the past, but I needed a different size. I absolutely love this style of top with the draped neckline.  Check out the pattern review below:

Pattern Description: Misses’ Top

Fabric used: ITY Knit from Fine Fabrics

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done? Yes

What size did you cut? 14

Level of difficulty: Easy

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I like that the pattern is easy to make with only 4 pieces

Pattern alterations or design changes: None

Would you sew it again? Yes this is my second time making it

Would you recommend it for others? Yes

Hi I am a new subscriber on your YOUTUBE channel. I bought M6963 pattern a few weeks ago. I just saw that you have the same pattern, awesome! I want two know if you had a follow along video with this pattern? I’m a beginner at sewing as well. Patterns scare me lol. My mom (seamstress) help me pick an easy pattern to do. I thought it would be until I started reading the instructions….now I’m all discombobulated. I haven’t even taken the actual pattern out of the envelope. Your input would be greatly appreciated. I’ve watched several of your videos. I’m more of a visual learner so they really help. Thanks

Hello! Thank you for subscribing to my channel. I know what you mean about being a visual learner, if I can follow a video tutorial I won’t even read the instructions for a pattern. I was afraid of patterns at the beginning as well but following mimigstyle helped me to get more comfortable and familiar with patterns. I think that is one of the main reason I’m able to do video tutorials myself. I don’t know if any sew alongs with this pattern. I have a few projects lined up but I will try to squeeze this one in for a sew along in a few weeks.
