Hello and welcome to day 11 of our 12 Days of DIY Christmas Gift Ideas! Today we are making a pillowcase with no raw edges on the inside! I’m super excited because this is my first time making a pillowcase and I wanted to do it with you all. This project can be done in a variety of cotton fabrics and you can have fun with color blocking. It’s the holidays, so you can go wild with all of the holiday fabric! I can’t wait to see all of the lovely pillowcases you make for your friends and family. You can find the video here. Here are the tools and measurements you will need:
- ¾ yard fabric (main pillowcase)
- ¼ yard or (9” Width) fabric – same length as main pillowcase fabric
- This can be contrasting fabric
- 5” Width fabric (sleeve) – same length as main pillowcase fabric
- Contrasting fabric
- Pins
- Scissors
- Ruler
- Rotary cutter (optional)
- Thread
- Iron and ironing board
- Sewing machine
